The RFN-1000 brings HF RFID and NFC smart chip capability directly into the production line, so every chip can be read, written, verified, and reconciled before it moves downstream.

Operating at 13.56 MHz, the station supports short-range contactless workflows used in smart cards, payment cards, secure IDs, SIM-related applications, NFC labels, and ePassport components.

Depending on the reader, coupler, chip type, and production requirements, the system can support ISO/IEC 14443 Type A/B workflows, UID validation, encoded data checks, read-after-write confirmation, and functional chip testing.

When integrated with Delta-X Tracker, each chip result can be linked to the correct production record. That helps reduce unreadable chips, failed writes, mismatched data, manual rework, and downstream rejects while supporting audit-ready traceability.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

RFID is the broader technology family used to identify objects through radio waves. On the RFN-1000, RFID refers specifically to HF RFID applications operating at 13.56 MHz, not long-range UHF inventory tracking.

In production, HF RFID is used to read chip identities, write encoded data, confirm chip response, and reconcile each result against the correct job record. This makes it valuable for secure cards, credential components, smart labels, encoded inserts, and other applications where every item needs a verified digital identity before it leaves the line.

Best fit: controlled production workflows where chip identity, encoded data, and product-level traceability need to be verified inline.

Near Field Communication (NFC)

NFC is a specialized short-range contactless technology built on HF RFID standards. It is commonly associated with tap interactions, mobile devices, smart cards, payment credentials, and connected packaging experiences.

In Pack-Smart Inc. workflows, NFC is especially useful when the finished product needs a consumer or operator-facing tap interaction. That could include activation, authentication, product registration, secure access, post-purchase engagement, or a mobile-connected brand experience.

Best fit: applications where the chip must support secure tap interactions, mobile engagement, activation, authentication, or contactless user experiences.
