The Digipak® systems were originally designed for one purpose, and that was to automate the slow and expensive process of securely producing a complete media pack. Following the success of previous models the Digipak® system underwent redesign changes enabling a much wider range of products to be created, and resulted in the DAS 4/6 system being used by customers today.
The machine is capable of handling almost any tray products, including Digipak®, DVD, Pozzoli, Surepak, Paperfoam, Repack and Viva. Using the RP Serier placer, the system can achieve speeds of 150 products per minute and with the brushless servo technology means registration of ± 0.5mm.
The DAS system is a truly versatile unit, from inserting a booklet alongside a plastic card, to creating a CD wallet pack from a carton, it takes just seconds to changeover. With Pack-Smart's electronic alignment section, all guides, fold components and other time consuming processes are all retrieved by simply recalling the setup from the touch screen systems memory.

Verification options are available to assure complete job integrity, including all popular barcode and OCR fonts. Other options include a plastic card and 3D object magazine and stacking capabilities. Extended glue and fold options are also available, with hot/cold glue packages, and back / plough fold modules.
The DAS 4 can be configured to handle a single tray product in four streams, a double tray product in two streams or one three or four tray product in a single stream.
The DAS 6 can be configured to handle a single tray product in six streams, a double tray in three streams, a triple tray in two streams or one four, five or six tray product in a single stream.
